How to Play Terraria

Explore, Craft, and Survive

Start by collecting wood, stone, and other basic materials to craft tools, weapons, and shelter. Explore caves, forests, deserts, and other unique biomes to find rare resources, hidden loot, and powerful equipment. As you grow stronger, you'll unlock new crafting recipes and prepare for increasingly difficult boss battles.

Build Your Own World

Terraria gives you complete freedom to build. Create simple homes, massive castles, underground bunkers, or entire cities using hundreds of different blocks and materials. Expand your base as you progress through the game.

Game Controls

• W / A / S / D – Move
• Left Mouse Button – Attack, mine, or place blocks
• 0–9 – Select items from the hotbar
• E – Open inventory
• Q – Quick select torch
• R – Reset character position
• C – Center the camera on your cursor
