How to Play Paper.io 2

Expand Your Territory

In Paper.io 2, your character automatically leaves a colored trail as it moves. To claim new territory, move outside your current area and draw a path through empty space. Once you reconnect the trail back to your zone, the enclosed area becomes yours.

Avoid Leaving Your Trail Exposed

When you move outside your territory, your trail becomes vulnerable. If another player touches your trail before you return safely to your base, you will be eliminated from the match.

Eliminate Opponents

You can defeat other players by crashing into their exposed trail while they are expanding. This removes them from the game and frees up space for you to capture additional territory.

Balance Risk and Safety

Expanding quickly helps you gain land, but long trails increase your risk of being attacked. Smart players grow their territory gradually while staying close enough to return safely.

Unlock New Skins

As you play and complete in-game achievements, you can unlock different skins that change the appearance of your character. These cosmetic rewards add variety and personalization to the gameplay.

Adapt as the Map Becomes Crowded
