How to Play Hollow Knight

Explore each area to find new routes, secrets, characters, and challenges. Fight corrupted creatures with well-timed Nail strikes, dodge their attacks, and gather Soul to focus and heal or cast spells. Defeating enemies and exploring the kingdom help you discover Geo and abilities that open up more ways to travel through Hallownest.

As you progress, learn to read enemy and boss attack patterns and choose when to strike, retreat, or heal. Hidden passages and newly unlocked abilities can lead to areas you could not reach before, rewarding careful exploration.
